DAVID LULIC

My first memory was not a lullaby. It was sirens swallowing the night.
My mother covering windows. Television light on frightened faces. buildings learning how to disappear.
I grew up believing beauty was temporary. That every room could become a ruin.
Maybe that's why I build worlds before they burn.

THE WEDDING DAY explores intimacy, rupture, and reconstruction in a post-crisis world.
The garments are constructed from recycled materials — cotton sheets and deconstructed leather — forming bodies that appear both fragile and controlled. The silhouettes evoke ceremony, but distort its meaning: union becomes tension, and beauty becomes containment.
Set within a stark, suspended space, the work reflects on the relationship between opposites — softness and violence, devotion and control, dark and light.
I directed and styled the visual narrative as both a fashion collection and an image-based study of the body.
